Paki is a term I heard frequently when I was in England. While not a compliment, I don't think it is as derogatory as the N word whose use appears to be restricted to African Americans now, especially African American comedians. I guess Bush's opponents will pick on any slip. My heritage is Scottish, should I be offended when Scottish people are referred to as jocks? I was born and raised in England, so should I be offended when the English are referred to as limeys or poms? I now live in Louisiana,so should I be offended by the term coonass? It seems that racial epithets are only offensive when they are used to describe non-caucasians.
