When stuck in traffic in my SUV, I am sitting on a comfy leather chair, adjusted just how I like it, listening to my choice of radio, tape, or CD, sprawled out, window open, looking at the sky.

However, I rarely get stuck in traffic, because I don't commute to work on heavily traveled roads. My office is about 4 miles away and I go against traffic, not with it.

Most people who drive SUVs don't get stuck in traffic, either, is my bet. People who are forced to commute long distances tend to drive little 4 cylinder rice-burners. Maybe they'd like Segways, but I fail to see how they are an improvement over commuting via bus or train. At least on a bus or train you can sit down. Heck, you can even sit down on a bike.

I expect whoever makes the Segway will have a hard time selling it unless it's changed so that drivers can sit and listen to music.
