Sure, it was Bill Meehan's response to Joel - I remember it simply because it was uncharacteristic of Meehan. I don't see how that means that Joel is a bad person. Meehan was a public figure, and this made him subject to jibes, regardless of whether he wanted to hear them. The fact that he is dead now has nothing to do with Joel or with the argument he had with Joel.

We remember Meehan fondly, as we should... I appreciated his insights too. I don't think that he would want to be remembered for telling Joel to "GFY" when either of us could find examples of greater eloquence, or of a profound understanding of the markets or life in general.

I think that you and Joel should take your argument to PM. The internet encourages behavior similar to "road rage" due to its immediacy and anonymity- IMO we all have an obligation to keep it as civil as possible. BWDIK?
