Well, the point is, that if he can't do anything about it, he's either not really omnipotent, or doesn't exist at all, so why bother worshipping him?

If he can do something about it, but doesn't, well then he's an a**hole and, heck, let's forsake that bad boy.

Z, you want God to be an indulgent parent always bailing his children [us]out when they get into trouble. However, its been proven over and over again that indulgent parents beget spoiled, self centered adults.

Maybe God knows what he is doing. ;~))
