Re: It now needs to be reset 2-3 times to boot.

My wife and I usually each leave a system up 7x24 (even at home) so we wouldn't likely see this problem even if I did have it (two of my home systems use this board).

Note: I've just started up and shutdown one of the M810LMR boxes 5 times in a row - no problem. (I'm posting from an Athlon 1.4GHZ/A7A266 box right now, and the PC Chips (with Athlon 800) was off today. (Actually been off for a while, since I can only use one machine at a time, and, however nice the 800 may be, the DDR 1.4GHZ is nicer).

This is one of those boards that let's you turn off power management completely. I've noticed that Tyan lists the option to completely disable both types of power management as "testing only, not for production use" in their motherboard manual, so it may be that setting this to neither could cause problems. I have ACPI on, it won't accept the "both" setting. You can still disable the individual settings if you don't want to run power management.

Have you tried changing these settings?

It's, of course, also quite possible that you have a defective board - it does happen. Is it too late to exchange this board for another under warranty?

Regards,

Dan
