Scott: I tend to agree with you...We wouldn't want to put most of the lobbyists out of work would we...=)

The two large publicly traded firms (in the pharmaceutical and media industry) that I have worked with are highly regarded in the marketplace. Yet, both of them had VERY ACTIVE political action committees and governmental affairs groups. There is SO MUCH money that large firms pump into 'buying access' to influence and votes that it's not even funny. Ralph Nader has been talking about this for years. Maybe Enron's Perfect Storm will provide a catalyst for some productive changes.
