Hi J.T.,
I have been watching your Rydex numbers for some time...wondering about the significance of the inversion in the Tempest/Dynamic series and the persistently high URSA numbers. Conclusion: the direction of this ratio is more important than the absolute numbers ie: as long as ursa/nova is dropping the bears should move aside. When it starts rising (as it is now) the bulls should stand aside. I apologize if this is overly simplistic or if it has already been discussed on this thread. It just helps to explain the seemingly bullish inversion in the Tempest/Titan numbers. This data is charted nicely at the paid portion of the Decision Point web site and also meshes with Bernie Schaeffer's use of moving averages to interpret put-call ratios instead of absolute numbers.
