I dunno, Mq, Segways remind me of those motorized wheelchair-and-shopping-cart combos we have here in the bigger stores like WalMart. Just one more excuse for fat people with out-of-shape cardiovascular systems to not walk. Walking is good for the heart.

I like the idea of the Ka system or whatever it is. Mass transit is a Good Thing. However, my husband has found that it's cheaper and faster to drive 17 miles (one way) to work in bumper-to-bumper traffic and park in a parking garage there than it is to drive to a parking garage near the Metro station and take the Metro to work. He pays a monthly fee of $100 for the parking garage plus gas vs. the Metro parking lot used to be $3 a day and it was $6 a day to take the Metro both ways.
