I've done that several times with the floppy. This Sony didn't come with an actual CD of WINXP...instead they send "system recovery disks" with their machines. I can't even find XP on any of the 6 disks. After a nice long hold with sony support they told me that winXP is indeed on those and I'll have to pay for help since it's a networking issue and not warranty.

wankers...All my DELL machines always came with a genuine MSFT CD...it's a "not for sale" version that comes with a new PC, but it's still an OS disk.

this blows

the puzzling thing is that I had the POS working, but when she rebooted it was gone (and apparently ain't coming back)
