I hope I was not "beating up" on Hawk, whom I like, but simply pointing out that extreme positions taken by the women's movement should not be called "feminism," which is a general term. It's a shame to shy away from a perfectly good word simply because . . . . oh, yadda-yadda-yadda, you know what I mean.

I know a lot of women refuse to say they are feminists because they don't want to deal with the repercussions.

You're right, feminazi is a helpful term.
