The networking market is not a shrinking market long term. It has a wonderful future. Granted, it will not be what it was in the 90's, but Cisco is the leader in an area that is crucial to the world economy - the movement of data and information. This has tremendous business, consumer and entertainment ramifications.

The key is if we have already done most of the build-out of the infrastructure. I think we are just at the beginning of what will be needed for moving information around the world in the future (5 to 10 years from now). For the time being, there is a reported glut of bandwidth, but we must not discount the future applications that will surely come when innovators dream them up.

Maybe I am wrong, but I am betting some of my chips that networking is a great place to invest, and Cisco is the best networking company. I believe that a LONG term horizon (5 to 10 years) is necessary to see the payoff however. Just my humble (and maybe wrong) opinion. Thanks.

Jeff
