Slacker: Thanks for the article. It certainly makes sense that PCS is going after CDMA2000 initially for the gains in voice capacity as they begin seeding their networks with phones that have MSM5105 chips that double capacity. This drives the most important economic case for the PCS network - developing voice capacity.

The soft launch/hard launch distinction is going to blow over when people realize PCS will be selling CDMA2000 phones in February or March that will be fully 3G compliant by June for both voice and data.
