Concerning margin policy, I wonder if IB has a minimum equity requirement tougher than 50% to buy and 30% min equity after that.

50% and 30% is IB's margin requirement, except for daytrading in a $25K+ account where you only need 25%. There are always some low priced stocks that cannot be bought on margin, as controlled by regulation, and from time to time IB may not permit margin on certain stocks. I've not traded many stocks lately, but when I did IB seemed to not have any "unusual" restrictions. Just about all the stocks people want to trade can be bought on margin.
