While your replies seem a bit cruel, I also did not think it looked like a rug burn or a injury caused by his glasses. It looked more like a liesion due to cancer. The President has had other benign growths removed recently. Given the current conflict perhaps someone decided that there was a downside to providing the public with details about his health.

The absence of any other marks on his face is what appears strange to me.
