That's in line with other things I've read. Enron started working on Democrats when they had the WH. When it changed hands, they started asking the new Republican administration for help. And didn't get it.

Maybe the key here is for Congress to put aside its partisan bickering and blame game and figure out how to avoid the problems this has caused in the future. One obvious part of the cure is that executives should not be allowed to sell company stock if they have forbidden their employees from doing so.
