Well, as to "premiums", some stocks IMO should be entitled to a "premium" to valuation. What about the company that consistently grows their earnings by X% and increases their div'd annually?

Premiums assigned to stocks are "subjective" and up to each individual investor what they are willing to "pay" to own some paper...

Much like baseball cards. Paper that has printed on it "Micky Mantle" is worth more than paper with, say, "Billy Ripken", "Steve Lake", etc.
