TORONTO, Jan. 15 /CNW/ - Twin Mining Corporation ("Twin Mining") (TWG -
TSE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Hendrik Visagie M.B.A., B.Sc.
to Consultant - Business Development to support the Company's growth
objectives.
Mr. Visagie brings to Twin Mining more than 25 years experience in the
mineral resources sector. He has specific experience in northern mines such as
Nanisivik and Faro.
At the same time Mr. Dallas Davis becomes Consultant - Diamond
Exploration to focus on optimizing exploration programs on Twin Mining's
exceptional diamond discoveries at Jackson Inlet, Baffin Island, Nunavut and
the TORNGAT Project, located on the east coast of the Ungava Bay, Northern
Quebec. Twin Mining's diamond field programs are continuing under the capable
leadership of manager Mr. Richard Roy.
The Company's diamond exploration programs follow strict guidelines and
controls and are subject to a Quality Control program by recognized companies.
Field activities, including geological mapping, kimberlite sampling and sample
shipping are controlled by MPH Consulting Limited and kimberlite processing
and diamond extraction at Lakefield Research Limited are controlled by MRDI
Canada.
Twin Mining, in addition to exploring the Jackson Inlet diamond project
on Baffin Island and the TORNGAT diamond project on the east side of Ungava
Bay in northern Québec, also holds a gold mining project in Idaho, United
States of America.
