One or more Gods could exist without having a moral standard any more defined than their personal preference. Take Zeus and his weakness for seducing mortal girls for example.

Since you count on God for your existence and not the other way round
If conscience thought, the soul, is immortal could it not be that God is the collective consciousness of all who have lived and not a separate entity unto himself? In such a case it is God who counts on us for existence.
