Hi Nadine Carroll; Re religious oppression in the Middle East... One of the things that the Catholics in Ireland were complaining about was their exclusion from government positions. This went all the way from the police to the Prime Minister. I know that the Moslem states include high officials that aren't Moslem, for example Iraq's Tariq Aziz, or Egypt's Boutros Boutros Ghali. Who are the high officials that Israel has that aren't Jewish? I know that there must be some out there, but I haven't seen them mentioned in the press. Making them better known would help alleviate Israel's bad reputation as a religious state. -- Carl
