I know that the Moslem states include high officials that aren't Moslem, for example Iraq's Tariq Aziz, or Egypt's Boutros Boutros Ghali. Who are the high officials that Israel has that aren't Jewish? I know that there must be some out there, but I haven't seen them mentioned in the press.

Bilow, Boutros Boutros Ghali is a UN official. You sure he's not Muslim? I didn't know that.

I think of Tariq Aziz as the modern equivalent of having a eunuch for your vizier -- you can trust him because he can't replace you.

Israel has a bunch of Arab MK's in the Knesset and there is one Arab minister in the government at present (I forget who). There is an Arab party in politics, and the Arab vote basically elected Ehud Barak. The Arab vote sat on its hands in the last election when Sharon came to power.

Making them better known would help alleviate Israel's bad reputation as a religious state.

I doubt it. Most of the world is telling the story it wants to hear about Israel. Did you see Yossi Halevi's description of world press coverage on the day the Israelis captured Arafat's munitions ship?
