The firm [Salomon Smith Barney] beneficially owns 5.9 million Sandisk common shares. Art or anybody, I am totally confused as to the meaning of the above statement. If I remember correctly, a few years ago Alan Shugart beneficially owned 25% of SanDisk common stock on behalf of Seagate. Can someone set me straight on "beneficially owning"? Is SSB the real owner of the SNDK shares? NHP
