My question was about a specific Chinese product Industrial fasteners I believe, right? And the remark you responded to was that the raw materials cost more here than the finished product. I might have the worlds largest collection of coffee mugs, tee shirts, baseball caps and stadium jackets from companies that sell industrial fasteners because my husband works in commercial construction and while a lot of them are made of other materials a lot of the ones I pull out of the washer and dryer are made of steel. Why is the cost of steel so much higher in this country? Why is labor so much higher in this country? The US can't compete with either from China.
