Certainly not like the old days but a drought, epidemic or a change in weather patterns, i.e. the unpredictable things that force nation states into corners where a world war could happen. Until we see each other in terms of similarities rather than differences we remain vulnerable. "(at this point, China is the only viable candidate for that)" Hopefully they can be westernized quickly and their younger generation inoculated from worrying too much about the rest of the world.
