Joseph, I am perplexed. I just checked the closing price for GENE (now 6:15 pm) and can't make any understanding of this other than just the general market in a well deserved correction (except for all of us long termers who watch prices daily). To Jeff, I was too busy and did not call my broker until I was leaving the office (5:15 pm) and he had left for the day. I will try to be more responsible tomorrow and get his input. I did find the news release on PRNewswire, which was indeed about Merck & Co. and the terms of the agreement were not disclosed. IMHO this will lead to future good news and agreements and obviously Merck likes what GENE is doing. Don't take this as a set back but a nice correction to accumulate more of your favorites. These are always doing this just not as much over the past several years. Usually down a day or two and then right back up there. Really hasn't been a lot of opportunity for accumulation except at new highs, now is a chance to "double down" as they say in 21. Tara
