I'm not convinced.
In an ideal world, my attitude would be, that if you want to oppose this country at the level of fighting its armed forces, and we capture you, you can't come back in the country. Spend the rest of your life in Afghanistan, for all I care.
However, when I look at Jane Fonda, and her actions in North Vietnam, which she got away with, I think perhaps we have to do more. While she was there, among other things, she identified a POW as a Green Beret Intelligence Officer, which resulted in additional torture to him. She should have been tried and done prison time, IMO. |
