Your point about Turkey's interests is important and I'd forgotten that. More than most other countries in the region, I think Turkey's and Israel's interests are the most important for us to maintain outside of our own. If the Turks obtain assurance that it won't result in a greater threat from the northern Kurds, and our aim is to topple Iraq's rulers, I think that's in our interests, as well as the interests of Saudi Arabia and other oil-producers.

The key is whether we can do it and whether someone friendlier will step in to replace Hussein. That's the only keys, imo.
