The kids are learning to think and to question, and to respect that commonality you speak of. They are no longer impressed by bluster or by empty appeals to "patriotism" as an argument. They understand how tiny is the globe, and that people must learn to live shoulder to shoulder. - that applies to many of the young people i know especially those who have had the benefit of some post secondary school education. they are well aware of the weight on their shoulders. as you said, "they have no reasonable choice". we certainly left them a pile of crap. rose
