It seems unlikely that Sect O'Neil, who failed to back up Argentina or Enron would fail to move for support of JPMorgan/Chase in the event this article is correct.

LTCM and other derivative problems of the world have caused barely a ripple and have been absorbed by the financial networks of this international economy.

I will grant you the presumed exposure is said to be in the trillions, and also the articles author does state up-front..., that his company is short JPMorgan/Chase...
We can also hope there's no 'creative accounting' as well...!
