I guess Paine Webber finally has the cahones to step back into the Qualcomm game after their last analyst caused some mild disturbances with a $1000 price target 2 years ago.

It is kind of amusing for the investment community to become so subdued after a 2 year bear market in terms of new products, revenues, and earnings. Doesn't anyone realize that CDMAONE in the US is over 5 years old? My brother is still carrying his original Qualcomm 2700 from 1998 from Airtouch.

We are entering the first upgrade cycle in the digital wireless equipment market since the inception of CDMA in the US. No wonder why QCOM's shares have been dragging under the moving averages for the past 24 months!!
