I said nothing about crack dealers being funded by government handouts. I said that there are many people, of all races, that would rather sell crack rather than get a legitimate job when they are available. A large portion of the poor remains that way of their own volition. They would rather live in sub-standard housing, and eat junk food, than get a job and contribute to the public coffers. I find it both amazing, and amusing, that many of those in sub-standard housing manage to have a 65" wide screen TV. I guess that is a matter of priority, but IMO any one that lives that way has their priorities on backwards.
The rocking chairs on the front porch of a ram shackle house is a reality, whether you realize it or not. As the older people become accustomed to this kind of life, the young generation of the family wants more money. The problem is that their parents have never taught them a work ethic, and they dropped out of school before they could learn any earning skills, so they resort to the sale of crack for quick, easy, money.
In every society, the strong should help the weak, but that should not be at the discretion of a top heavy governmental process.
Since you have just said the the system works pretty well,, why are you always belly aching about the system? Are you having a problem of making up your mind on what is right or wrong?
My friends, and myself, have always been counted in the middle class. Sometimes on the higher end. Sometimes on the lower end. Since the middle class is the back bone of the nations, and carries the largest per cent of the tax burden, there is no chance of it being destroyed unless full blown Socialism becomes a reality. One of the major goals of Socialism, is to destroy the middle class because of their ability to stand on their own two feet. If the middle class is destroyed, then only the poor, and the very rich, are left to deal with. Socialism doles out a minimum benefit to keep the poor alive, but unable to gain any sort of power, or survive without the government handouts. The Socialists will take care of the rich by taxing them out of existence, and then taking their place at the top of the hill. That is the elitist bent of Socialism. Keep the poor poor and dependent on government. Destroy the middle class, and current very rich at the top, then take their place and live happily ever after, doling out a meager subsistence to the poor because, Socialism considers them too dumb to handle their own money, children's education, and their lives in general.
I thank God for a lot of things, but taxes is not one of them. |
