ASBESTOS SCARE OVERDONE? - Yep, sooner or later people will get over this asbestos thing. I expect stocks to rebound when they do. Like I said, especially stocks like HAL, which has revenues of well over $10 Billion a year and insurance covers a good portion of the suits. It's damaging but I like MMM and HAL on weakness. Viacom seems like a good bet if it falls more too.
I can just hear Wall Street analysts at some point saying, "We are upgrading the following stocks due to what we feel is an overreaction to the asbestos litigation and cheap share prices. While significant, these suits could drag on for years and insurance covers much of the potential damage."

Let's see if it plays out that way, once those shorting feel that they have gotten the stocks down about as far as they can. David Faber on CNBC has been hammering these guys for bringing up all this asbestos stuff (and rightly so). This information is nothing new and has been in their 10Q's since last quarter. Were they just ignoring this stuff earlier to help pump the prices way up, so they would become better effective shorts? Probably, but that is how the game is played. I guess.
