My guess, based on the definitions that Fingolfen gave the thread and based on the now 251 posts on the subject is that 62.4% of the Athlons that AMD produces are, in your terms, "1400" or below, get it???

In that case, the peek of the distribution would be 1500, not >1700. And when some shortages were reported, the shortages would be in higher speed grades, not in 2 lowest (1500 and 1600).

1500  No longer listed


Wouldn't you expect that based on your theory, they should have huge quantities of 1500 and 1600, and very little or none of higher speed grades? Or would you admit that I just disproved the theory of poor bin splits?
