THe ENron thing started under the watch of Papa Bush. During his administration, legislation was passed that allowed Enron to trade energy like a commodity. The legislation was set up by Phil Graham's wife, Wendy. When Bush was defeated, she went on to the board of directors of Enron.

I have no doubt that Enron gave money to Democrats, as they were in power next. But, the Bush's were there at the onslaught.
