Not sure how we migrated to tax free foreign tax shelters. Is this from ENE. While back in oct / nov timeframe I indicated the ene tax people will also come into troubles. I would think ene crossed the line into evasion (illegal) vs. avoidance (legal).

On alt M you need to understand it is a timing issue. As an example the press points out a 300+ benefit to gm under the original bush proposal. I would anticipate gm actually uses up a good portion of that benefit on its 2001 tax return without any law changes.

The alt M makes good press and mostly due to its complexity and thus the general populace lack of understanding.

Hey I've read the alt m regulations and still don't understand all the complexities.
