Kemble,

Re: <<Yes, that's for sure...And, no doubt about the negative service reports...Why? is the real question...I'm just as curious as the ones that are surprised by the poor service...Although, the experience at any other company may be no experience at all, it doesn't bode well for DELL...>>

During my conversations with Dell's employees, I asked on lady why things have gotten so bad at Dell. She told me that everyone was waiting for the "other shoe to drop", that is more layoffs. She also said the management doesn't communicate with the employees, so everyone is in the dark. Having been there myself, I can vouch for the problems that the employees are experiencing. Morale at Dell is very bad, and this spills over to the customers.

With respect to comparing Dell with it's competitors, and their poor customer service, I maintain that one should never compare themselves to others, one should set the standards and be the leader in their industry.

I sure hope Michael Dell and his management team understand the problems and correct them asap. In fact, if you are going the the shareholder's meeting, you should bring this issue up and see what kind of response you get.
