Uh huh. Like paid for antivirus software was supposed to be obsolete a few years ago and like it was rumored there would be no need for any of the Norton Utility products because those would be included with windows too? Like MSN was supposed to topple AOL? Like Money was going to put Intuit's Quicken under?

Fortunately, Symc has found new growth areas and most fortunate of all they got rid of Gordon Eubanks (Mr. Bill would have done better not calling this puppet in the trial) and replaced him with John Thompson.

You hit the nail on the head as far as XP. The fact that my computers all talk to each other and all work with the peripherals is reason enough for me to not upgrade. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is definately my motto as far as Windows goes, and this from an early adopter that USED to upgrade as fast as a new product came out. Those days are over.

One of the Admin Assistants at work decided to upgrade to XP because she heard it would speed up her computer. ROFLMAO! It did all right, after she bought more memory and upgraded to broadband!
