ODB, I've read them and listened to him live. They are all okay by me. Anyone taking positions over a long period of time will be overtaken by events and might change their minds. Not adapting to new ideas and new circumstances is not a sign of anything good.

He is absolutely not senile. Anyone making such a claim is, um, loosely attached to reality. Perhaps he's not as sharp as when he was 30, but he's a lot sharper than the many questioners who interrogate him. Have you got examples of hypocrisy, lies or senility? I'm not prepared to go wading through things I've read to find things which don't exist. You should be able to stack up swarms of examples if your hypothesis is right. Senile people make mistakes every minute for example, so you shouldn't have much trouble justifying your insults.
