the author did not mention that the kamikaze program lasted less than a year(7 or eight months)...japanese today believe the program was ill-conceived.

if we make the cost high enough, if we persevere long enough to catch some well hidden operators, if we keep getting their cash reserves, the terrorist recruiting program will fail.

i have always favored no mercy in the field for terrorists.
now i like rumsfeld's masterful solution...who would join a program where the last 400 members, spent days and nights swatting mosquitoes while living in little cages in cuba?

if it is good enough for a dog, if it is good enough for a zoo animal...it is too good for a terrorist.
