We need more government regulation of business. Enron is the only the latest example of a need for more regulation of corporations and the the accounting profession. The savings and loan scandal was another example of insufficient government regulation. When the head of the SEC in the Clinton Administration wanted legislation regulating the big accounting firms, it was lobbied to death by certain US Senators. I hope to discover their names.
