Hugh Johnson is apparantly looking at a set of rates with which I am unfamiliar. The 10-year right now is at 4888 bps, which is LOWER than where it was on Septmeber 1 at about 5000 bps. The 5-year right now is at 4164 bps, below 4500 bps at 01 September. Both rates are also lower than where they were one year ago today.

I mean, do these friggin' morons even LOOK at the markets before they make statements like this.

I stand by my prediction that the 10-year hits 3.5% during the CY02 and ends CY02 below 4.0%.
