Sure, I think the ENE scandal is a lame attempt to embarrass the administration. So does most of the American public (according to the polls). Very few small independent (non-employee) investors got totally burned by ENE.

Do I think it will alienate Joe / Josephine-six pack wannabe pro-trader, ..nahhhhhhhhh! Not that guy / gal.

These are traders who spend the time and effort to win in the market. They didn't get caught in ENE. They shorted ENE and moved on to the next conquest after collecting their booty.
