Is it wise to sell RBAK to buy TMTA? - I bought at $2.33. What do you guys think about TMTA?. - by: lost_150k Re: I want to buy some TMTA ... anybody - Great technology, but poor execution. TMTA specializes in low energy chips, useful in laptops. No other company comes close, not even INTC. However, they are have a lot of troubles on the production line and can not get the product out there. Therefore, they are losing market share and money. Take the risk, I think they will come around. - by: jimboy882001

Re: Gap & Options & 50 day-EMA, c'mon - *** huuve - be realistic **** You don't understand what I mean when I say look at the 5 year chart and consider January '99 revisited. Try this : Draw a line from the crest of '99 to our present day crest, say $19.90. I know you like that number (and it's close enough). Next, draw a parallel line beginning from the trough of January's '99 downtrend and continue that parallel line to the present day. Now that you have my picture, get your darts out. Just kidding. I'm not saying that AMD will trend all the way down and meet that parallel bottom line. But I think it might approach it. Retired_loveit, you're an active daytrader and use time-graphs of a shorter nature. Thus your link to a three month graph. And you make a lot of sense given the scope of that graphs trend. But daytrading is rarely, rarely, rarely my style. The last time I daytraded was on TMTA during its debut. I made money, but it was way too nerve wracking and busy work for me. Re: Earnings Thursday - Joe: Usually I would agree with you. Looking at how the street treated AMD (earnings were missed but forward outlook was great). They street headed for the doors and sold off huge. HOWEVER, the very next day TMTA had their earnings release and CC and they were rewarded huge...... gained 30% intraday so, go figure. My feeling with ITWO is that they do what they do better than any competitor. It's hard to 2nd guess what the street will do. The way I look at it, the street will do one of three things. 1. The trading price will go up. 2. The trading price will go down. 3. The trading price will stay the same. Hey, all those years of college were not wasted on me! LOL - by: hand_in_the_cookiejar

goodbet7------- - I totally agree w/your assessment. I also own TMTA and I think it is a steal at this price. - by: kcfrisco Don't worry for a pullback. - IDCC is going uptrend. Just hold tight and don't listen to the shorts. If you listen to shorts and sell, you will lose out on huge gains later. For example,ELON which I have went up today. Short tell people to sell. Samething with IDCC. We have waited 3 years talking about the potential of 3G. Now, 3G has finally being deployed. This is the year for IDCC to shine. If you can wait 3 years , why not see your gains later this year or better even next year. Just hold on tight for one more year. If IDCC still not up to $50 then you can sell it probably at these prices also. I bet it will be at least $40 by September,2002. Let's see if my prediction is correct. My vision has been pretty good lately. Bought IMNX low, sold high in three months. Bought NTAP low, sold high again in 5 months. Bought ORCL low, sold recently before the drop back. Bought ELON low, holding long term this time around. Check out TMTA, I think it's heading back to over 5 to 10 soon chip supply problem fixed. Any input from anyone on w - by: goodbet7

3G is coming in May,2002 in the USA - and in June in Japan. Take a look at IDCC,ELON,TMTA. I have all of them. I think EXTR has bottomed and will make a move upward also. This economy is getting better but earnings is just showing bottom. The market should be going up soon after weak hands get out of this next bull market. Pick the best stock out of this recession. OT: ACE #9 Today!!!! - Just got home from playing 9.Love days like today. No waiting in golf is golden. Wow, words can’t explain the excitement of this shot. Eaton Canyon, hole #5, 175 yards from the blue tees. It was a draw that carried the green bounce twice then rolled about 3 feet and dropped right in. I also had 2 birds and still shot 1 over (36). Go figure. That is my longest ace so far. I expect to get a few more before my time is up… Since the beginning of this New Year, I stop playing with this group of guys that I use to gamble with. I got tired of all the commotion that goes along with playing with this group of bad sports. This group of guys used to get under my skin and they knew it. The senior in the group (Gene) is notorious for standing in your line of vision and he leans forward right in the middle of your swing. They would putt out of turn and walk behind you when teeing up. One of them (Wiz) would almost always take a practice swing right in the middle of your swing, while you’re on the tee box. Oh course m - by: zonked_rocks

Re: ABIZ IN SWEET SPOT AT .14 x .15 IMO - wrong. I recommended Mfnx at .40 and .41 before it ran to .60 recently and it represented a good trade if you picked your entrance and exits wisely. If you check my early jan. posting you will see I recommended it at .40 and .41 before the run to .60ish. Abiz as well was very tradeable at .20 as it went to .29-.30 afterwards (albeit it came back down). Iawk was not a good trade because an insider seller raised his ugly head imo. I am more or less a daytrader in the purest sense. Don't confuse me with an investor. I believe in buying and selling stocks frequently and agressively. I like doing multiple round trips as often as possible. Abiz at .14 is a great spot imo although I actually bought at .12 and .13 and it was not easy getting a fill there. I did sell some abiz the other day for a profit and took a stop on the other shares when it broke .20 I always use stops and recommend any trader to do so as well. Why would anybody listen to Joe Osha? - Why does the street seem to take Merrill's Joe Osha's comments as if they were gospel or as if he is on the ball on his calls? This is the same clown recommending TMTA last June around $12 a share and said TMTA would hit the $60's over the next year or so. Hey Joe Joe, TMTA is now under $3 a share you dopehead and was as low as $1.17 recently. I wonder how many bought on Osha's recommedation around $12 last June? In June TMTA was Osha's only chip stock with a buy recommedation according to the link below. businessweek.com (But Joe sure loves other chip stocks by end of July after a massive summer run... see below)... Merrill's Joe Osha was also the same clown that upgraded semis last July 30th or Aug. 1st approx. after the Soxx index had already ran over 40% between April of 2001 and end of July of 2001 and right before a heavy selloff on the soxx index between August and end of Sept. thestreet.com - by: gordongecko_ii

I am short in biotech, semiconductors, business software, internet software, internet, and some odd and end things like KKD, REFR, and MVSN Talk about shorting early.. before PDLI split, I shorted my first batch at 45, and rode that bitch to 90.. Guess what happened.. I shorted more at 60 and 80, then covered the motherload at 34 before the split. I was early by a whole 100%.. I would have lost it all if I covered, but I didnt. I just kept shorting and watched it crash, and collected my profit after 6 months. The same may or may not happen with EBAY, buts its happened with a lot of other stocks I shorted..
