I wouldn't touch it with a 11 foot pole because it sounds to good to be true. The biggest problem I see is VHS tapes are in analog format and DVD disks are in digital format. You need some pretty sophisticated hardware to convert a VHS analog tape signal into a digital stream that can recorded on a CD-RW disk. Software by itself wont do the job.
