THE PHONE CALL

Here follows a particularly sorry account of the kind of DobryLies that affect innocent people.

The incident occurred on the Fourth of July, and deserves to be recorded.

Dobry panicked the next morning, and had some of his posts deleted by Raging Bull.

As soon as felonthecanvas noticed the deletions he went to his cache to retrieve what he could.

Shortly thereafter Janice Shell copied all that remained of the evening’s “discussion”.

Dobry for some reason didn’t succeed in getting all of his messages removed; perhaps RB balked,

or perhaps he realized that others already had copies. I believe I’ve here reconstructed the

critical elements of the “conversation”, though at least one post—the one in which

Dobry announced the number from which he claimed to have been called—has been lost.

Excerpts from that important message are included in the replies of others, as readers will see.

Our story begins on the afternoon of the Fourth, when an apparently incensed Dobry

posted the following at his website:

7/4/01: 'WE GET PHONE CALLS !” On the evening of July 3rd I rec'd yet another hang-up call at my home,

which has a brand new unlisted number. This call, using the *57 protocol, was traced to Cleveland, Mo.

Who do we know in "Cleveland, MO.", and why would he be calling investors that are victimes of repeat

offenders of security laws , repeat offenders who move markets on message boards and one such message

board being Silicon Investor, who's ex-"thread monitor" is also from Cleveland, Mo? Imagine that.

The Cleveland , MO. police dept was contacted, as was the FBI.

Alas for Dobry, no one noticed it until it was brought to our attention by “dirty_bull”.

And then the fun began.

But first it may be useful to offer the identies of the players whose names are known:

· Maytag_Repairs: Gary Dobry, a.k.a. Pugs and about 100 other aliases.

· dirty_bull/mobaction: the same person, as proved by the following post, in which Dobry,

not for the first time, blew an alias:

She's a whack-job. Happy 4th Bull!

Janice Shell believes that bull/mobby is Dobry’s great friend and Benefactor,

WLS radio talk-show host Jay Marvin.

Bob Zumbrunnen has his doubt about that. Since the question cannot at this time be resolved,

in our summary of events we’ll refer to him as “Dirty”.

Be aware as well that Dobry himself appears to have used both the “mobaction”

and “dirty_bull” aliases on occasion.

· Janice456: Janice Shell

· bob_z1: Bob Zumbrunnen, also known as “SI Bob”.

Now then, we’ve set the stage. What happened on the night of the Fourth?

Here’s a summary of the action, but all posts are provided, with URLs, for those who don’t want to

miss a word of the pertinent exchanges.
