Unless you consider all Democrats as liberals, which shows a distinct lack of understanding of Texas politics Some Democrats are more liberal than others. I know enough about Texas politics to know what the situation was during Clements' & Richards' administrations. Sure, Texas Dems aren't as bad as Mass. ones, but that's not saying much. The important point is that it is liberalism that has brought the worst elements in our country, while conservatism has brought the best. One need look no further than the likes of Rudy G. or George Bush to see this. Unfortunately, it would be difficult to name one great liberal of modern times.
