Well, it's a slow Saturday nite where I am, so I'll take the time to respond to your usual lunatic rant. I did get out of PWI as you state,
------------ With a realized LOSS --------------------
but, as I stated at the time, to instead move into PVE and AY.
----------- Where are your realized gains from these ?????? -------------------
Strange you somehow fail to mention that. PVE has since moved from 8.10 to 8.67 and AY from 9.56 to 10.01,
----------- These are unrealized gains. Remember these are the same realized and unrealized you fail to acknowledge from the very beginning. For YOU unrealized losses for the other side is very real and very bad. But for you and your side unrealized gains are very real and very good. It is just plain fact that unrealized losses come back when the unit prices recover. Which is very good for buy hold and accumulate on weakness. It is again plain fact that realized losses (like yours) never come back. And to make up for them you have to have greater realized gains for the next trade (which in your case just don't happen they are followed by more realized losses)------------
while PWI has moved from 6.10 to 6.39. No big deal one way or the other. I just don't like the way the market treats PWI.
As for my shorts, I shorted NCF at 11.63 and its now 12.00. I shorted ERF at 24.90 and its now 24.65. Again no big deal. Strange again that you somehow failed to mention my ERF short. Don't believe I've ever shorted PGF, but it probably deserves to be shorted.
-------------- From your post # 2439 """I'm still long PVE and short PGF """""""". Your story changes from one posting to the next. ----------- DOCUMENTED --------------------------------
You know, you are a real sick puppie. No posts for a month, and than a post immediately responding to my post.
------------ I respond to misinformation, outrageous claims and down right lies . It is interesting to note in that post #2439 of yours you say """""""With a bit of nimbleness you can avoid paying the dividend on PGF by existing and re-entering, although the commissions eat into your profit. """""""""""""" Existing and re-entering at what allways a profit never a loss. That is very suspicious given that in a longer time frame of weeks to months you have shown to have both trading losses and have had to close out short positions again at losses. Now your claim is that in a time frame of just days with spreads of mere cents to dimes you allways have winners. What a load of BS. For the last 9 months or so you have provided your trades and shorts which show mostly REALIZED LOSSES. With this more recent claim maybe for the next 3 months you could post your trades of a few days duration and at the end of the 3 months we can judge your success rate. Guaranteed it will show the same miserable results.----------
You obviously have nothing better to do with your pathetic life except to sit beside your computer all day waiting for me to post. I tell you what. If you're going to keep records of every trade I mention on this site, at least post accurate information.
-------------- I allways post accurate information. Like as in above where you say in your resposne to me you did not short PGF but in another post ( # 2439 ) you definitely say your are short PGF. Well which is it , it can't be both. One is a lie. You demonstrate you lie as it serves your needs. Then resort to name calling to try to win arguments instead of facts. ------------------------------
Oh, by the way, I'm still waiting for your May/01 positions in the oil and gas trusts.
------------ These have already been posted you just ignore them. Look to post # 2348 and earlier post # 2265 it is all there. Interesting to note is a response from another member, his post # 2324, who has followed and checked my postings and my accumulating and holdings. He states from that post """""""""That will come because you see I really think you are on to something here at least for a portion of my portfolio."""""""""""""" It just must burn you up to no end seeing that kind of an endorsement. But ignore it as you do my positions as DOCUMENTED above. Ignoring them does not mean they are not there or will make them go away they are there for all to see and verify for themselves. That the others have and have both replied publically here and in private messages to me is PROOF POSITIVE. ------------------
What are you down since then, Peter - 20%, 30%, 40%?
----------- What you describe here is what you have said many times before. You look to the highs in May and the values now. BUY & HOLD. I do not buy and hold. I ACCUMULATE ON WEAKNESS. You cant even tell the difference. A difference that allows me to buy at the lows and benefit from the recovery in prices when they occur. And any LOSSES are UNREALIZED which means they disappear quite easily when that recovery happens. Unlike your REALIZED LOSSES which can never disappear. And are not so easy to recover with the next trade or short as your record indicates with only more REAL LOSSES. I also take advantage of special situations like the rights and warrants which again DOCUMENTED show double to triple digit gains. ----------------
Maybe you should have shorted, or at least got out. Could be buying back in today realcheap, like I'm doing.
--------------- Lets take a closer look to that record of yours. You shorted NCF 3 times, on one of those the price rose from $10.80 to $14.80. What was your REALIZED LOSS. 40% , 20% ??????? The other one is a loss as well This last one current is nothing to brag about as being superior. You shorted SHN and on one of those occassions you closed out at a loss. You got out of PWI at a loss as you confirm. Now it doesn't take a math genius to figure out that IF you did get out at the highs in May the REALIZED LOSSES you have documented here since then have eaten away at any and perhaps all gains. The result of all of this is you have not the superior returns you claim. And your losses are REAL losses. They will never come back. Unless of course that next trade or that next short can give you some really big gains to make up for the losses. But those big gains just aren't happening for you. As you show above. Each trade closed , each short closed shows only more LOSSES. THAT IS THE DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE -------------------------
PVE was around 12.50 then, is around 8.50 now. The difference in price is about 2 years of dividends, and the difference in yield is permanent. Understand how it works, Peter?
------------ Now from this example factor in all your other REALIZED shorting losses and all your other REALIZED trading losses from the time of that $12.50 and the $8.50 now . There realized there gone. Suddenly the difference becomes smaller and smaller. What you show from your example above is an UNREALIZED LOSS from an accumulator. UNREALIZED means it is easily recoverable when prices recover. And the yield is NOT PERMANENT it fluctuates with the price of the commodity. When these recover then the yield recovers. And then the accumulator has much more units at lower prices. And the unit price and yield then begins to reflect the higher commodity prices by both rising. That is what the historical trading numbers for these and the past REAL DATA show. That is all documented evidence. It has happened in the distant past ,it is happening in the recent past, it is happening now and it will happen into the future. Because that is how these trusts operate and how they behave. UNDERSTAND HOW THAT WORKS. OBVIOUSLY NOT. WHAT AN AMATEUR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!--------------------------- |
