I think it is you who exagerate. In Reagan's era it might have been possible to argue from the supply side and the Laffer curves, but it's clear now that there is no magic formula, the government has to pay as it goes and save for the future just like any other entity. I think what Republicans hate most about Clinton is that he exposed the theoretical underpinnings of the conservative movement to be wrong.
