CDMA phones (Sprint and PrimeCo) have "subsidy locks." I'm not sure if GSM has a similar feature. It's a programmed code in the phone that the network operator has to have to utilize the phone. Sprint and PrimeCo phones are not interchangeable for this reason. That's the trade-off for no contract. One way or another, the company has to recover the phone subsidy (upwards of $200 per) However, I believe both companies will buy your phone back within 30 days, no hassle, if not satisfied. Make sure you have the same assurances from Aerial.
