I am amazed that someone so intelligent as you, who can see through sh*t a mile away, would fall for that crap. Perlow sounds like your typical idiotic technical help 'guru'. Totally lame at anything except formatting hard drives. I do not use automatic updates for any software. It comes with a lot of different sw packages, but I do not like my computer downloading stuff that I am unaware of. Now, Microsoft products are not perfect. If you want to hack them, they even tell you how. They too suffer from the beauracracy syndrome. research.microsoft.com U2 can finaly know how to load abritary code into Internet Explorers process space on NT/2000 systems, thus bypassing possible barriers set by Firewalls such as ZA, ot TPF.
