Matt: Here's my "signpost" timetable for VLNC from the conference call:

1. Weekending 7/06/97 - Line # 2 delivered from Italy via being trucked across Europe then ferried to N.I.

2. Weekending 8/15/97(arbitrary by me) - Possible news(at earliest) regarding battery commercial viability from product produced from testing run of line 1. Product testing commenced on or about week-ending 6/17/97? Date may be as late as 90+ days so outside date for testing news could be 9/16/97.(Note - VLNC may exercise its option to keep its mouth shut until after OEM acceptance/rejection).

3. Batteries submitted to OEM's for testing. Period expected to be approx. 60/90 days--results by 12/01/97 at latest?

4. 12/01/97(arbitrary date) - 2nd line up and operational in N.I.

5. 12/31/97(arbitrary date) - line 3 delivered.

6. 12/31/97 - OEM acceptance of commercial product viability.

7. 1/31/98 - Full production run up and operational on lines 1 & 2.

8. End of 1st qtr - Line 4 delivered to N.I. plant.

9. 06/98 - Based on line 2 "turn up" period, line 3 up and operational by this period.
------
etc., etc., etc.. I've pinned these dates up in my mind for future review of VLNC's progess. Admittedly these are my signposts, not VLNC's, but it gives me points to come back and re-evaluate the situation. So until the first set of signposts are reached there's not much point following VLNC from day-to-day. Ya might get heartburn, ya might feel relieved, but all the relevant chatter's already occurred so ya might as well sit back and enjoy the show. Keep your "cash" dry for the next signpost.

See ya in the market!!

John~
